III.RUSSIAN PHARMACEUTICAL DISTRIBUTORS: TOP LIST

The project is aimed at compiling ratings of nation- and region-wide pharma distributors operating in Russia's largest cities. The project methodology consists in analyzing preferences of retail pharmacies when choosing distributors. The survey respondents are pharmacy managers who actually choose partners in drug supplies. The sample was built on the basis of the total number of pharmacies with account to presence of different pharmacy types in each region. Other key factors such as business status, specialization and location were also considered thus providing for correct understanding of the present-day situation. The assessment of distributors' efficiency (price/non-price competition factors) was based on results of interviews with pharmacy managers who rated the six relevant performance criteria: competitive price, assortment, accurate delivery, commodity credit, confidence and prompt supply (handling of requests and delivery).
